MediaMaster  (Demand Based Asset Management)
MediaMaster is the most effective way to manage your assets for television automation of single channel, multi-channel and ShareCasting systems. The result of efficiently transferring assets from Library and Archive systems is a dramatic decrease in media transfers that reduces costs and extends the life and reliability of your equipment.

Get Assets When You Need Them
MediaMaster is a "demand based" asset management system that monitors available schedules to determine if any material for a current or future schedule is missing from the on-air server and automatically pulls needed assets from archives or mirrored servers.  In addition to the traditional downward movement of material from archives or libraries to broadcast servers and server mirrors, MediaMaster can also move material horizontally between multiple digital video servers and vertically to archives and libraries on a storage area network. 

A countdown timer tells you how much time you have left before missing material is needed for air.

Missing Material List
If scheduled material is not found in the on-air, archive or backup servers, Media Master will create a "Missing Material" list.  The Missing Material List can be automatically e-mailed to designated personnel through Florical's SMART Central management tool.

Manages Expired or Archivable Material
When material is no longer needed, it is either automatically purged from the system or stored in an archive or library for future use. 

Looks for Discrepancies
Media Master monitors the server metadata and the database information and warns of discrepancies.

Balance the Load
In order to manage the contents of each video server, MediaMaster balances how much material is on a server versus what material should be erased. A sophisticated load manager fills the server with material to operate for as long as possible without refilling. A purge manager considers past activity, future schedules, material characteristics and special set points to only remove material when space is needed.

Integrated and Scalable
The MediaMaster system is designed to work with three levels of hierarchy:  (1) an archive or library, (2) multiple broadcast servers and (3) multiple broadcast channels. In larger multi-channel facilities or ShareCasting operations, multiple MediaMaster systems can be used to manage virtually unlimited levels of storage.
