Florical Wins "STAR" Award From Editors of TV Technology

Parking Spot was featured among Florical's new product enhancements, alongside S.M.A.R.T. Central and TimeShifter. It is the live production feature in Florical's newly designed AirBoss presentation suite that allows the user to drag and drop commercial content as needed during live news or sports programming. This pop-up window stays open to allow the user complete flexibility during fast paced live programming by having a "Parking Spot" to drag pre-programmed material from the window into the schedule or "park it" for later use. S.M.A.R.T Central is a Web based window into Florical's automation system allowing reporting, editing and controlling functions based on the level of user login rights. TimeShifter effectively records and playsback a live program while the program is still recording, effectively "shifting" time in the schedule by as little as a few minutes.

The STAR Award (Superior Technology Award Recipient) is designed to celebrate and showcase the preeminent technological innovations available to the broadcast industry. A panel of judges consisting of TV Technology editors and columnists reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then submitted their award nominees.
